Which apprenticeship is right for you?

We offer several apprenticeships in various IT professions every year. Still not sure which apprenticeship suits you best? Find out here:

Computer Scientist EFZ

Platform development
Apprenticeship 2025
4 years (with/without vocational baccalaureate)
As a platform developer, you plan, implement and administer IT networks. You will also prepare workstations by installing hardware and software. You will also write extensive scripts to automate installation processes (staging). You will also operate servers and monitor them so that users can work without interruption. You will deal intensively with cloud topics and be well-versed in dealing with various network protocols to ensure IT security is always guaranteed. You can complete this specialization with or without a vocational baccalaureate.
Specific requirements
You are attending the upper level of elementary school (highest level, Sek A) or a comparable school

ICT Specialist EFZ

Apprenticeship 2025
3 years (without vocational baccalaureate)
As an ICT specialist, you will work as an all-rounder for hardware and software requests as well as in the Support Service Desk as part of internal IT. You will configure ICT user devices such as laptops or printers and help to ensure the operation of the extensive network infrastructure. You use your skills to help other people identify IT problems, which you then solve professionally - even in stressful situations.
Specific requirements
You attend elementary school and have either good grades in secondary level B or excellent grades in secondary level C (formerly Realschule)

Way-Up

The shortened apprenticeship for high school graduates / Platform development
2 years
Do you (soon) have your high school diploma in your pocket or have you already completed a technical apprenticeship (including vocational baccalaureate and work experience), are you very interested in IT and would like to get to know the IT world “hands-on” before or instead of studying? Your achievements at secondary school will be generously credited in the practice-oriented way-up apprenticeship. In just two years, you will receive the federal certificate of proficiency as a computer scientist (platform development). This provides you with the ideal prerequisites to subsequently study, for example, and still advance your career at InfoGuard as a cyber security expert in an attractive part-time position.
Specific requirements
For Way-Up we expect either a (soon to be) completed high school diploma with good grades (ideally with a focus on “Physics and Applications of Mathematics” or “Economics and Law”) or a technical apprenticeship* (EFZ) including a vocational baccalaureate and work experience
* If you do not have a high school diploma,
admission is by dossier.

General requirements

You have good to very good grades in math, German and English
You are enthusiastic about computers and can imagine working on them for several hours at a time
You can use the 10-finger system
You like solving complex tasks - even if it takes a while
You like working in a team and enjoy helping others
You are reliable and work precisely
You can express yourself well linguistically and have no trouble understanding texts quickly
You are eager to learn and like challenges
You have successfully completed the ICT-Multicheck von gateway.one (evaluation according to desired profession or specialization)

** The Multicheck should not have been completed more than 1 year ago. If you are accepted for a job, we will reimburse the costs.

No Multicheck is required for Way-up.
